Carol Aird is is a young mother and socialite who falls in love with Therese Belivet. She is the titular character in the film Carol (2015) which was adapted from the novel The Price of Salt (later republished as Carol) by Patricia Highsmith. In the movie adaptation, she is portrayed by Cate Blanchett.
