I'd love to meet an ENTJ-7w8 for real, but if Gilgamesh were indeed 7w8 he would enjoy life at its fullest since day one, using his great ENTJ skills to build himself a beautiful and "gratuitous" life, just because life is fun and enjoyable so why even bother to think about death. Instead, he's obsessed with death and destiny (his personal fate), because he knows that death will be the end of his supernatural —but still human, too human— strength and greatness. That seems pretty 8 core to me. And the moral of the stoy, of course, is that no matter how high you climb, you'll die and fall anyway, so better enjoy life now and try to have the greatest fate possible… wich is a perfectly reasonnable way of understanding the tensions of a "classic" ENTJ-8w7. Again, if he were core 7, he wouldn't need the f***ing gods to tell him, after years of hard and warring quest, that life is about enjoying life and nothing else. That's the truth of his wing, not the OBVIOUS —not exactly who he actually is first and foremost. He's after Greatness, Glory and Immortality, not Pleasure, Fun and Joy. So, why not simply ENTJ-8w7?
