Why people keep saying he's evil? Just because he used dark magic? I really disliked the way he was portraied in Distant Lands. I don't remember seeing him using dark magic to do harm to anyone, actually he used it to help Princess and the Kingdom (and ocasionally for his own benefit). I'd say he is Lawful Neutral even. (Except when he was being chased by that green guy I forgot the name and turned his kids into monsters - kids those which didnt seem to mind very much. But I take this as a defense method, not attack.)
