❗SPOILERS FOR BOTH CHAPTER 1 AND THE FIRST HALF OF CHAPTER 2 ❗ FINALLY she's typed as an INTP, just because she's an artist it doesn't mean she's an ISFP. Rose hasn't shown the slightest hint of having Se as an auxiliary function in a single one of the episodes we have thus far, the only argument I've seen to support that hypothesis is the fact that she has a photographic memory - which isn't really a sign of Se at all. In fact, she has shown to have extremely poor Se through a complete lack of situational awareness. Rose doesn't pay attention to her surroundings at all, constantly getting lost in her own thoughts instead. And she does it to such a point where Nico was able to steal an entire can of turpentine right from under her nose without her even noticing it was gone at all, only realizing what he'd done after Teruko pointed it out to her. If anything, she shows infinitely more Ne than Se (though not enough for it to be her dominant function) in the sense that she often makes observations and gives ideas that might seem nonsensical or impractical at first, but turn out to be deeply rooted in her own logic more often than not. A few examples of this are when she points out that analyzing the paint on the walls of the building they're trapped in could inform a lot about the place itself (though she herself admits that it's not feasible due to the lack of equipment that'd allow her to do so); the time where she suggests that chromatography could be used to identify the writing utensil used to write the "out of order" sign on the light switch during the first case (though she initially dismisses the importance of the idea, it turns out to be a very important clue to catch the culprit); when she randomly knocks over the trashcan during the second case, so on. She has no problem thinking outside the box and her ideas are often limited to the hypothetical realm, strongly suggesting Ne over Ni. She shows no Se whatsoever, displaying much more Si instead. Now that's out of the way, I'll argue for why I think her other functions are Ti/Fe rather than Fi/Te. I'm honestly not sure where some of you are seeing Fi, because this girl doesn't show it at all, especially as her dominant cognitive function. She isn't guided by her own views on the world, and the way she thinks is much more impersonally analytical than anything else. I'm not saying that Fi doms aren't capable of logical thinking - far from it - but the way that Rose's brain reasons most of the time is too logical and detached from her own personal views for her dominant function to be anything other than Ti. Though she often has unexpected ideas that may sound unreasonable to others at first they all stem from her own internal logic, even in the aforementioned scenarios. The trashcan in specific is a prime example of that, because when Teruko questions why the hell she just dumped the contents of the trashcan all over the floor she explains her reasoning perfectly, namely that the most logical assumption would be that most of the evidence of the case would be concealed on the same floor where the murder occurred - since because the only way to go to one floor to another is through the elevator the culprit would most likely choose not to make multiple trips in fear of maximizing their chances of being caught, hence the trashcan. The way she talks about her own past and decisions is also a telltale sign that she might not have Fi in her stack at all, as she does so in a way that's pretty much detached from her feelings on the matter. As she explains her situation to Teruko, Rose says that she both started forging paintings (which is a sort of betrayal to her own artistic integrity) and signed a contract that made so that she didn't own a single thing she painted simply because she wanted to support her family. Obviously caring for others isn't an exclusivity to Fe users, but the way she talks about it (implying that she chose both of those things because it was the most logical thing to do despite her own feelings) implies that she doesn't use Fi all that much. Obviously she feels very strongly about the entire situation (even going so far as to destroy her paintings after finishing) like any other person would, but she doesn't really seem to take them much into consideration. Tl;dr: She shows infinitely more Ti/Ne than Fi/Se, making her very clearly an INTP in my eyes.
ชีวประวัติ
As the Ultimate Art Forger, Rose Lacroix paints copies of famous masterpieces that are so realistic that they’re often mistaken for the real thing. She owes her forgery talent to her photographic memory. Despite this, Rose is very absent-minded and rarely pays attention to things. She’ll often zone out in the middle of a conversation, or worse, fall asleep.
