Being succinct in Aeneid and having high standards for his poems do not necessarily prove Vergilius an INTJ. One can clearly see his Fi in Eclogues, which was written before he met Augustus. Even in Aeneid, the poet showed empathy towards his characters whenever he can (for Dido, and even one or two lines for Turnus). I would say that he is an epitome of his famous quote “sunt lacrimae rerum et mentem mortalia tangunt” in Aeneid, Book1, “they are the tears of things and touch a mortal mind.” Ne or Ni? Indeed his poems (especially Aeneid) do not exhibit stereotype Ne. But Ne fantasies do not have to be written down in words, let alone for a poet who only allowed himself to produce two lines and a half each day. He is strict about the detailed descriptions, which is a sign of using Si. 4w5 or 1w9? Vergil was good at preserving his thoughts and knew when to compromise. There was strong Stoic influence on him that makes him maintain moral temperance. And these could be explained by him being a typical Enneagram sp4. About sp4: https://wiki.personality-database.com/books/enneagram/page/self-preservation-4-in-detail I'm still not sure about 9 or 1. Currently, I hold the opinion that his actions is more about seeking for coordination than the endless demand for perfection. He was evasive towards the actual reality, rather than sought to improve it.
