DAWG, AIN’T NO WAY I CAME UP WITH A WHOLE AHH ARGUMENT, AND SOMEONE DELETED THEIR ACCOUNT AS I WAS SENDING IT TO THEM… well, if they can’t see it, i’ll leave it up to other people to read it. 😔 here’s why i think not every combination is possible. before anyone gets upset by my opinion, i’d like to say that i do not think anyone is wrong when they say correlations don’t exist or correlations do exist. i think our views on typology are subjective, and i encourage everyone to form their opinions without following everyone’s opinions mindlessly. the point of my comments are to open people’s minds to correlations potentially existing and to shut down people who tell correlationists that they’re rigid. people question why fe doms cannot be e5, despite e5 being a good choice for INFJ. here’s the thing, even INFJ can’t be so5 or sp5. they can only be sx5. no, it is not because their ti is higher than fe doms. even if it was for that reason, fe doms cannot develop their ti, at least not early in life. it is an inferior function for a reason. it is supposed to be a flaw, something you struggle with until the time comes where you can develop it gradually. even then, it will take a lot, and i mean, a lot of energy to develop your inferior function. the process would be tremendously exhausting, and in most cases, your inferior function should finish blooming at the age of 35. “why do most people have uncommon combinations if correlations existed?” well, it’s simple. they’re mistyped if they have an enneagram type that contradicts their MBTI. it doesn’t make sense how an ENTJ can be e8, and it doesn’t make sense how an INFP can be e9. i’ll copy and paste a comment i made talking about how INFP and e9 are a contradiction as a means to show that not all combinations are possible, despite humans being complex and diverse. keep in mind, there are typology systems other than MBTI and enneagram, and tritypes exist, which is why people can seem like an e5 when they’re, in reality, an e4. (i thought i was an e5 at one point in my life, but i really had a five fix.) back to what i was discussing earlier. why can INFJ be e5, not fe doms? well, INTJs can be e5, and they don’t have ti in their function stack. they do have ni, and so do INFJs. “ENFJ has ni as its auxiliary function.” it does not change the fact that the dominant function will prevail. it is the function that sticks with you, even in childhood. even if you try to overtake it with another function, it will subconsciously reveal itself in whatever decision you make. there would be no point in having a function stack if there was no go-to function. let us look at the passion of e5 and how it correlates with ni. e5: “Not only is he avid for the means to maintain his corner, he also is greedy for knowledge of what is going on in life, so that he can feel alive.” introverted intuition: “Receives its impetus from outer objects but is never arrested by external possibilities, being occupied rather by searching out new angles for viewing and understanding life.” “Regards the immediate situation as a prison from which escape is urgently necessary and aims to escape through some sweeping change in the subjective understanding of the objective situation.” “Uses the objective situation in the interests of the inner understanding.” “Requires the development of balancing judgment not only for the criticism and evaluation of intuitive understanding but to enable it to impart its visions to others and bring them to practical usefulness in the world.” [1/4]
