I actually like both the colors. Maybe Black more than white, but both. Both of them speak volumes within Silence - both represent silence, but in very different ways. Both of them are absolutists, and it is as if the purity of color is so strong that even the slightest shade of the dullest green will make it look impure. Black and White represent the fact that how if things are too polarized in one aspect they seem more similar in other unexpected aspects, just due to their absolutist tendencies. It is often used symbolically or figuratively to represent darkness. Black and white have often been used to describe opposites such as good and evil, the Dark Ages versus Age of Enlightenment, and night versus day. Since the Middle Ages, black has been the symbolic color of solemnity and authority, and for this reason is still commonly worn by judges and magistrates.
