Okay so hear me out here. Joey is an ISTJ. Si: Joey is constantly comparing the dynamics of current situations with incidents from the past; for example, her entire relationship with Dawson is centred around the way things used to be. In season 3 she even says to him, "out with the old, in with the new?" When he confides in someone else about his problems. She is highly focused on the way things 'should' be (remember how she reacted to finding out about Jen and Pacey hooking up?), and finds it very hard to deal with changes. Te: In the earlier seasons we don't see her Te, since she seems to be in an Si-Fi loop most of the time, but her Te becomes more and more apparent in seasons 4, 5 and 6. She has concrete plans laid out for what she wants to major in, the colleges she's applying to, and exactly what she has to do in order to get in. Plus, she is pretty decisive in all matters that don't relate to her love life. Fi: She is super unhealthy regarding her emotions, and always makes it about herself whenever Dawson even looks at any other girl. Whenever anything doesn't go her way, she immediately thinks that the whole world is out to get her, and victimises herself constantly. At the same time, there's no way she's an Fi dom, considering how long it took her to choose between Dawson and Pacey. An Fi dom would've figured their feelings out earlier for sure. Ne: Need i even explain this? She is completely against change, despite what she may try to lead others to believe. Throughout the show, she's seen shying away from situations that are unfamiliar to her, and she can't deal with multiple possibilities. This is seen in the s4 episode "Future Tense", where she uncharacteristically gets really drunk at a party due to the stress and uncertainty of the college process. Clear Ne inferior. I honestly don't see how people see Se-Ni in her. So that's my argument for ISTJ. Feel free to disagree and offer valid points for ISFP, since that seems to be the popular consensus.
