At the beginning of the series he’s stressed from being displaced and having to move into a completely unfamiliar environment, which clashes with his need for security, so he’s anxious, snobbish, and image focused (reinforced by the 1 in his tritype) but by the end he’s learned to trust himself and others and formed genuine bonds with Stevie and Patrick, so he’s more relaxed, grounded, and inclusive, and comes to see the town as his home.
