Her guilt stems from her auxiliary Fe, where she thinks she could have done something for the children but didn't. Her submission to William Afton's ideals shows her need to be valued, where even when he did something she disagreed with, she remained by his side. In this, we have a Si-Fe who seeks to keep things under control as a way to compensate for past mistakes. In the second film, Vanessa is in constant trauma, trying to find a way to be okay, showing how Si avoids external experiences that are not what she seeks. Vanessa always wanted to live a normal life, which was Si desire.
