Idk how people can’t see Ti-Se in Minju? Let me explain. Every variety show/game they do Minju’s logical thinking and problem solving comes out and shines. This girl is all about deducing, trial and error and logic when it comes to solving problems/puzzles. For example, in the ‘Super Illit’ Who is the Killer episode, where they had to solve a murder, Minju’s Ti was fantastic all throughout. After each member introduces themselves, she begins the hunt by noticing and pointing out that the date is 7 days in the past. After that, as they keep speaking about how they knew the victim, Minju one of the main questioners, and questions that are perfectly geared towards deducing who is the murder. She asks what they all were doing on the day of the murder, if they were alone, and she shuts down Wonhee’s attempt at an alibi by picking apart her logic behind it, all fantastic deductive use of Ti in my opinion. After they get up and start investigating the house, Minju’s Ti-Se comes into play. In the kitchen not only was her Se great at finding the sticky notes, but her Ti was great at rearranging them to find the hidden message. This was also picked up by her members where from now on she is constantly being praised for being great at this, all part of her logical Ti and Se. This next point was really funny so I wanted to mention it, but her Ti-Se felt really prominent in the moment, where she looks at the blinds next to the kitchen where a camera man is recording and she closes it off on him to check if there is something there, this is all part of the trial and error of Ti and to have the courage to actually execute it with Se, not really sure if this is a valid point but it was more like a feeling. The time stamp is 19:20, it was very funny I recommend it to all of you. In the next room, the puzzle in this room seemed kind of unclear as I feel it didn’t get a lot of screen time, but it was a number puzzle where she played a huge part in finding the password, and eventually the final number to get them into the laptop. Also, her Ti was through the roof in this specific room, she was trial and erroring everything, the calendar, the diary, every diagnosis sheet, the cabinet, her deductive Ti tries everything, and her Se amplifies it by helping the trial and error, it is so clear to me in this episode. Finally, in the bedroom before the end, there was a final number puzzle which they seemed to be stuck on for a while. They had to rearrange 4 sets of 4 books to reveal a number that is made by the outline of the books. They went through a couple combinations, 3838, 5858 but in the end and all throughout you can see Minju sitting on the floor on her own trialing every combination, deducing every possibility using her logic, where she finally figures out what the others couldn’t, that the final 2 numbers was a 2 but the others just didn’t try all the combinations of the books like Minju did. This is Ti-Se. This is Ti’s preference for figuring things out on their own. Trial and erroring using the Se, logically deducing using the Ti, putting them together makes her a great problem solver, as almost all ISTPs are. I don’t want to deep dive into this point, but in the ‘Super Illit’ Haunted School, the way she goes through it when it’s her turn is so ISTP. I know I’m not providing a valid arguement, but if you’ve been in MBTI for a while, you’ll know what I mean. Sooo Ti-Se, the way she went through it, soooo ISTP. Throughout all what I’ve mentioned, it’s clear to see that Minju is interested in the why something works instead of the how, which is incredibly Ti. In contrast to Te, where if they figure out how something works, as long as it works they don’t need the why, where as the ISTP’s Ti, needs to understand why it works, for their own logic and framework they have, and Minju is clearly like this to me. And finally finally, I just to counter point the ISFJ voters, as a 9w1 myself which is a Si-Fe based enneagram and I don’t even have strong Si and any Fe in my function stack, and I get mistaken for having strong Si-Fe. So an ISTP, with inferior Fe, plus the Fe from the 9w1, plus being raised in a Fe country and society (South Korea), she is gonna look like an ISFJ. But as I just explained, I believe she is relatively clearly not. I also want to say just because she’s cute, shy and quiet doesn’t mean she’s not ISTP, these characteristics comes from her 9.
