I would say that ESFJ 2 is often seen as one of the most common unhealthy ESFJ patterns because it combines ESFJ’s desire to care for others with T2’s need to feel loved, appreciated, and needed. When unhealthy, ESFJ 2 can become overly dependent on other people’s approval and gratitude. They may believe their worth comes from how much they do for others. Instead of helping out of genuine kindness, they may start expecting appreciation or recognition in return. If they feel ignored or unappreciated, they can become hurt, resentful, or emotionally manipulative. They may struggle to say no because they fear people will stop liking them. ESFJ 2w3 is usually the more common unhealthy version. The 3 wing adds a stronger desire for recognition, praise, popularity, and appearing successful or admired by others. An unhealthy ESFJ 2w3 may become obsessed with being seen as the “perfect” helpful person while hiding their own emotional needs. ESFJ 2w1 is also possible, but it looks different. The 1 wing adds more duty, responsibility, and moral pressure, making them believe they always have to do the right thing for everyone. A healthy ESFJ 2 cares for others from genuine love while also respecting their own needs and boundaries instead of depending on other people’s approval to feel worthy. The most common tritypes for unhealthy ESFJ 2 I would say are 268, 261, and 279.
