Mello is my favorite example of an ENFP in fiction because you see cognitive functions used in a way you never see before compared to generalized "happy go lucky" ENFPs like Sailor Moon and Josuke Higashikata. Here's a break down: (continued in replies) Ne: Mello uses Ne to accomplish everything. Those who believe Mello is an Se dom forget that Ne is also an extroverted function, about accomplishing objectives/ and accumulating things by means of the outside world as well. That is the distinguishing factor of what makes an Extroverted function. The difference of Ne vs Se is that Ne users are coined for intertwining their imagination/ideas with the world around them. Mello's Ne was the danger to Light's Ni, and the missing piece to Near's Ni. Mello's unpredictable strategy is what made him a bigger threat to Light that he focused on eliminating him first in the 2nd Arc. Not only that, but this main aspect of Mello's ideas is suppose to mirror L's, who is also an Ne user. Ne is also about valuing the possibilities, and is a staple in Mello's actions. A distinguishing example of differentiating Mello using Ne > Ni is how he set up X-Kira(Mikami) to make a move, considering the possibility of Mikami's power, and so underwent his plan in kidnapping Takada. This was to make Near, an Ni dom, to break away from his one-minded loathing, and solve the Kira case. Moreover, how he sets up his opponent, instead of trying to pick up on their patterns to counter them, is Ne > Ni.
ชีวประวัติ
Mihael Keehl (Japanese: ミハエル・ケール, Hepburn: Mihaeru Kēru), universally referred to by the mononym Mello (メロ, Mero), is a fictional character in the manga series Death Note, created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Mello is introduced alongside Near as a potential substitute for L. Both Mello and Near were raised at Wammy's House, an orphanage established by Watari, L's assistant. However, Mello refuses to work with Near to capture a murderer dubbed "Kira".
