She’s actually a sweetheart and quite attuned to her children’s needs (for a parent in pll lol). Ella communicates with her kids (unlike literally most parents in this whole show lol) and always tries to find out WHY they may have done sth to try and understand “where they went wrong as parents”, which seems like more of a ti approach as opposed to Byron, who I think has a more unhealthy te-fi approach attuned to his own ideals and beliefs, imposing rules on his children without explanation. Ella tries approaching things by talking and reasoning things through with her children, appealing to their emotions and being quite empathetic. She even empathizes with people she should probably not be empathizing with and may even struggle to set boundaries because of that (Byron, Ezra). I think fe users are rather more prone to doing this than fi users but that may also just be my own experiential biases.

Aria's mother and Byron's wife (later ex-wife), who later becomes a substitute teacher in Rosewood High (and a full-time teacher after Ezra gives up the position). Ella believes in treating her children as friends, not as property. She has mentioned that she doesn't want to push into Aria's private life, and she thinks that Aria should be allowed to keep secrets.
