Ok i will now write my actual INTP argument which begins with inferior fe. Haruhi is so oblivious to how people feel about her and how she feels about other people. There is absolutely no denying that. Of course my experiences aren’t universal but as someone with tert Fi I don’t relate to how she deals with her feelings and when she realizes after so long that she likes Tamaki she still isn’t sold on the fact that he likes her, and prioritizes that when she interacts with him, she basically ignores her own feelings because they’re scary which really really reminds me of the INTPs in my life Like sooo badly they are like Haruhi when down bad. Most Si evidence, I have to agree with other INTP voters, is basically just because she’s poor. My family is poor asf and my INTP brother was a token smart poor kid at rich schools on scholarship for most of his life. It was literally just because he’s smart and that’s the better option. I admit that with Haruhi it’s different, there is Si in the fact that she wants to go to that school to get into a good university and take after her mother and all but she doesn’t seem like she’s holding onto this dream for dear life, merely putting in the effort she has to which is easy for her because she’s smart. This might sound kind of messed up ngl but I will mention her mother is dead. I have horrible Si but I’d probably want to follow in my parent’s footsteps too if they were dead. Her father is also kind of not functional which I relate to (My living arrangements are usually my father and his only daughter - me) and it’s really frustrating for me cuz I’m a Te user but she seems to handle it much better than me (I don’t think it’s bc she’s a 9 either, her complaints seem to be mostly about him embarrassing her while mine are about responsibilities around the house and just him being irresponsible in general) and either way children of dysfunctional single parents usually have to take the responsibility of the absent other parent. A lot of INTPs lack stability and when they’re in stable environments act a lot like her. My INTP brother has been doing a lot better mental health wise recently and because he is working towards a degree he has to have a schedule and routines which he sticks to very well because he’s forced to in order to succeed. Im pretty sure every type would like to succeed. Also my INTP friend when he has a consistent sleep schedule and is caught up in school literally always jokes about how he’s like an ISTJ. As for her Ne showing later in the series, two instances from the manga come to mind. If my memory serves me correctly this is after she realizes she has a crush on Tamaki so it could be Fe grip but I don’t think it’s Ne grip or healthy ISTJ behavior. She decides she wants to start helping more in the club and pitches a few ideas to Kyoya which tbh are kinda stupid but that’s besides the point. And then this is the actual important Ti Ne moment I’ll bring up because she seems to be doing well at this point, I think she’s realizing she has to be responsible and is actively working towards it instead of being that way out of stress or being forced to which to me sounds like healthy INTPs. (Kyoya actually tells her all his Ni Te plans and she thinks “Studying abroad... Kyoya is amazing...” with a confused look on her face aw they are so cute Sry anyways I think she is Not a Te user) It is when she, Honey, Mori, the twins and Kyoya all meet at her house and teach her to use the laptop Hikaru got her and while everyone is getting yelled at by Ranka, she is analyzing stuff on the laptop (Trying to be vague cuz spoilers sry) and she calls Kyoya over to explain stuff to her and she processes it which leads to a discovery that even he is amazed she found out cuz he hadn’t been able to, and it is one where you have to really make connections and think about it because it’s not at all obvious. (This is chapter 77 if you want to know the context but just take my word for it if not) So, I think she has very good Si possibly from looping and being forced by outside factors to use it, (Ive heard it can help develop your third function? and of course she’d ignore Ne if she were looping) which keeps her organized, but I have a very hard time seeing it as dominant. Auxiliary maybe but it’s pretty clear she’s not an ESxJ and besides that I do not think she is a Te user nor does she have inferior Ne, which leaves me with INTP.
