Her character throughout the game shows how she's driven by envy and the sexual instinct. She purposely tries to look down on Hornet, enjoys her struggle and is delighted by it; but Lace still carries self loathing and believes strongly she's weak, worthless—yet she seeks love, acceptance and validation from her mother, and yet still hates how GMS wants her to act as an eternal, perfect child, she wants to be loved for who she is. Such common traits on the image triad. She also masks her vulnerability and suffering with dominance and sadism, causing suffering; her thirst for revenge is also explicitly shown throughout the entirety of Act 3, how letting herself be consumed by the void, saving Hornet as a selfish act of rebellion towards her mother, making Pharloon suffer... That's a whole unhealthy E4 tantrum lol, she's written wonderfully as a representation of Jealousy. I love her so much😭✌️
