(rewritten) ''focused on the past'' I don't see it, not to mention it doesn't even define Si. If by focused on the past you mean that he can't just forget all the traumatic events and experiences and live on his holy jolly life than what are we even talking about. Let me shock you, not all traumatized people are Si users. Some things are just stuck in your brain whether you like that or not. And that's like the only Si argument I ever saw so if someone has more a more ambitious analysis, I'm all ears. Tbh I'm not sure if INTJ is even the right type but it seems like the most logical option to me at least for now. >Back to '' he's focused on the past''. Where do you people see it? Snape not only focused but revolved his whole life around the future. Everything he did was this giant Ni plan of events. He was a double spy and everything he did was planned to help the Order of the Phoenix beat Voldemort. Nothing he did was accidental or useless. Reality was his plan. That's like the most Ni thing ever. He never lived for the moment or relived his past. And frankly inferior Se suits him. >Also his Ni gut? In one scene (I don't remember in which movie) Harry is moving through the corridors under the invisibility cloak and he goes past Snape screaming at some dude. Snape looks right at Harry's face and even attempts to take off his cloak. HOW?! WHAT?! The fact that this was never explained means that it was simply his gut. >The guy is also obsessed with codes, hidden messages and riddles. (Ni!!!!) The first time he sees Harry in his class, he asks him a question that's actually a code. “Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?” According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning 'My regrets follow you to the grave' and wormwood means 'absence' and also typically symbolized bitter sorrow. Okay I'm sorry but would any ISTJ bother? Even his positions book from his youth was signed with a nickname. He left all those different riddeles so good that usually no one was able to understand. >Where is this supposed Si? He was exclusively focused on the future, with trauma obviously stuck in his mind. e.g. losing Lily the love of his life definitely stuck with him, like don't even try to make in into a Si argument. He didn't want things to remain how they are, he was a huge part of the revolution, he did the most in this whole fight against Voldemort. He's a Machiavellian character that wins by stabbing his enemy in the back (metaphorically speaking). He's a double spy, Voldemort's worst enemy. He treated his life like some sort of a play. A drama. Even his work for Dumbledore behind the scenes? He died and nobody knew shi* about him or his upstanding life as Dumbledore also died. The only reason people even learned about all his sacrifices was due to Harry collecting his tear and using it to see Snape's memories. For me he's a definite Ni user. I can debate INTJ but definitely not Ni that's why ISTJ just doesn't make sense to me AT ALL!
