Him being spiritual or believing in superstition doesn't mean he's not ESTP. On the contrary, it was because of being an ESTP that he was so adamant in defending his beliefs, because they were connected to his inferior Ni, which made him fanatical, refusing to accept any evidence that invalidated those beliefs. A dominant Ni would be sure of his intuition, he would need not to prove it to anyone else, but that wasn't the case with Doyle. He needed to prove this because it was the most insecure part about himself.

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930) was a British writer & physician. His place of birth is debated, but he is referred to as a British writer of Scottish, English, and Irish extraction, extremely prolific in genres such as horror, science fiction and historical romance, but best known for his detective fiction featuring the character Sherlock Holmes. Originally a physician, in 1887 he published A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels about Holmes and Dr. Watson. In addition, Doyle wrote over fifty short stories featuring the famous detective. The Sherlock Holmes stories are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.
