[𝟏/𝟔] ✦ Varang is an aggressive and ruthless antagonist, the leader of the Ash Na'vi, who shared her tragic past, forging resilience and strength as a result. She will do anything, even the most brutal acts, creating her own morality; from the EMPIRE magazine, we even learn that she accepts into her clan those who are worthy of killing another Na'vi. And, unlike other Na’vi people, Varang doesn’t follow Eywa, preferring instead to rebel against her. She doesn't even bother to obey Eywa's Three Laws, unhesitatingly using human technology and cutting down Pandora's trees to build yurts in her village, in defiance of their goddess. Varang is one of the few surviving members of the Mangkwan who witnessed first-hand the volcanic upheaval that led to the destruction of their Hometree and the death of her mother, the clan's tsahik. When she came of age, she took her mother's place as tsahik, displacing her older sister, who was tsahik-in-waiting. At age 15, Varang seized control of the clan, poisoning her olo'eyktan father, whom she considered a weak leader blinded by fear. She has been running the clan ever since, as their fierce messiah, their savior, their Mother. 𝐒𝐨, 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝟖 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐬?🩸 𝐈. Starting with each of the subtypes, she has a core of Self-Preserving Eight, consisting of intensity, her own mistrust, and her desire to control. Behind this core, one can see how her anger, thirst for revenge, and obvious fear of being abandoned by Eywa again define her lifestyle, where her behavior almost resembles an aggressive utilitarian — the SP8 archetype. 𝐈𝐈. She has traits of a Sexual Eight, presenting herself as a rebel and making this rebellion a virtue, imbuing it with charm and fascination. Varang enjoys flaunting and demonstrating her wildness so that she can be seen as "bad," as someone who goes against Eywa's rules without feeling guilty about it. While I can't say she fully possesses the traits of a Sexual Eight, as I believe her impulses, in my opinion, are not directed toward partnership and intensity through control/power in relationships, but toward security and protection. But I nevertheless don't deny the possibility of a SX8. 𝐈𝐈𝐈. Varang exhibits the traits of a Social Eight, where she expresses her impulses in the realm of power, leadership, and protection of her group. Such an Eight, following Naranjo, feels a calling to be a leader, protector, and authority, defending her people with a blend of charisma and vigilance that can be either guiding and inspiring or tyrannical and utterly cruel. ❝𝘝𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱.
