Unfortunately, the information obtained from the life of Artaxerxes II is not reliable.we cannot rely on them completely( Most of them are said by Greek writers such as Plutarch and Xenophon.) However, by using some of this information, we can examine his personality from a general perspective. Artaxerxes II was modest and almost wanted justice as much as he could. (wing 6 in enneagram) according to references , he reduced punishments and gave justly rewards. However, the effects of lack of intellectual independence can be seen in his life as well as that of his father Darius II, because both of them depended a lot on Parysatis' advices.(Parysatis and in ancient Persian : Parušyātiš was the wife of Darius II and mother of Artaxerxes II)... even after the death of his wife ,Stateira, because of Parysatis' hatred ,after a short period of exile, he returned Parysatis to the court.(this dependent reminds me of wing 4 in enneagram)... Ultimately, all of these structures in his personality remind of INFJ. (According to Xenophon he was gentle and soft-tempered but it doesn't mean that he was ESFJ. Arses (Greek: Ἄρσης; c. 445 – 359/8 BC), known by his regnal name Artaxerxes II (Old Persian: 𐎠𐎼𐎫𐎧𐏁𐏂 Artaxšaçāʰ; Greek: Ἀρταξέρξης), was King of Kings of the Achaemenid Empire from 405/4 BC to 358 BC. He was the son and successor of Darius II (r. 423 – 405/4 BC) and his mother was Parysatis.
