Ok yes, this is a crazy take. NE>SE for Dante makes sense because Dante is all about coming up with creative solutions instead of improvisation. He doesn't do things on the fly. he canonically DOES STRATERGISE using previous information he obtained (SI inferior). His intuition is extroverted not his sensing. 7w8 or 7w6 Dante is unnegotiable, but I know some people would wonder why I voted 721 in the tritype. DANTES HEART TYPE: Why he's a 2: 2s are "Givers", giving and hoping to receive validation and want to be loved. Dante shows a lot of features of 2's such as valuing external praise over his own and not caring if feelings are recieved back Why not 3: 3's are "Achievers" who's main attributes are ambition, success oriented and value self presentation. Dante is none of that. Why not 4: 4's are "Romantics" that are idealistic, desire authenticity and uniqueness. He has quite a few features of a 4, but thats because 7's have a lot of features of 4's. The main distinction is that Dante is more focused on external validation and focuses on connection over authenticity. ----------- Dantes gut type: Dantes gut type is very hard to decipher, but I'll now explain why I think hes a 1. The gut type is a representation of how the person handles anger in 3 categories: 1) Uses it a fuel in Lust (8) 2) Takes the anger and holds it in in sloth (9) 3) Converts it to wrath and frustration (1) Dante isn't a 9. He never avoids anger and denies it and remains idle in sloth. People think hes and 8 because of his intensity, but his anger is never out of desire of control. The enneagram 7 is still an agressive type and can be equally as intense. 1's are also intense as they do still hold the sin of wrath, and his anger is more focused from the desire to be right and protect. The reason I think he's 1>8 is 8's are Hyper independent in stress while 1's are more concerned about the ethics and "rightness" of it. Dante is seen to only shoot back when someone does something "wrong", like the bully in the first episode and Arthur's control problem.
