• 𝗜𝗦𝗙𝗝 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗝 We've unspokenly come to a consensus of the presence of auxiliary Fe and tertiary Ti in her functions so I won't delve in that, rather the goal of this writing is to draw distinction between: ISFJ's 𝗦𝗶 Fe Ti 𝗡𝗲 INFJ's 𝗡𝗶 Fe Ti 𝗦𝗲 Note: Keep in mind, we can only type public figures and persons so much due to complex facets and limited information available outside their platforms. Let's begin. First, Let's clear the Si misconception. Know that Si ≠ Past rather, It's also sensation-seeking function that aims to reconnect with sensations per intraverted fashion. Si is often associated with the past because S͟i͟ ͟i͟s͟ ͟a͟n͟ ͟r͟e͟a͟l͟i͟t͟y͟ ͟a͟b͟s͟t͟r͟a͟c͟t͟ ͟f͟u͟n͟c͟t͟i͟o͟n͟ that bends reality by applying subjective understandings, which may manifest as sentimentality. Se function processes sensory information 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 because it's extraverted, unlike Si, which processes sensory information 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆. Hence, it's not rare for people to mistake Si for Ni because they are both internal processes. ISFJs understand the present moment through drawing from their internal catalog, which may consist of impressions, experiences, and memories (Si-Ti). Quote from PDB users; ¶ She's very passionate at talking about her inspirations, and in everytime, you'll immediately notice the highly abstract nature of her expressions, as they are not just full of random scrambled ideas (Ne), but rather a compilation of ideas boiled down into one cohesive and set straight abstract vision (Ni). ¶ I think what makes this distinction even clearer is how she tries to conceptualize of the things she writes about like love (even reading books to better understand) rather than lean on her own experiences. It's more abstract and hypothetical thinking that she tends to use than anything else. We can chalk out "hypothetical thinking" to tertiary Ti of IxFJ. With that said, conceptualizing, or bending and romanticizing (typical) sensory experiences is a recurring theme in her songs. Si is a controlling function that bends reality to its internal process (ISFJ archetypally associated with herbalists and prone to placebo effects) giving eye for detail and attunement to their physical world or needs. Moreover, Ne function is situated in the lowest stack of ISFJ, thus "ideas" are more organized compared to the usual chaotic nature of Ne. In fact, too organized, as Laufey's songs share relative arrangements–though it's more about the music industry creating memorable tune for audience familiarity. If you watch 𝗜𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗳𝗲𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇? video, it explores her working style where she creates music by gathering tidbits of external inspiration from jazz songs/artists and reapplies them with slight tweaks to her original composition (Si-Ne). ISFJs value familiarity over novelty. "I thought about this girl whom I think is perfect, and I kind of want to be like her. But then, she might also think that another girl is perfect, and so we end up thinking of each other as perfect, and we're perfect in our own ways." This is recognizing an 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 pattern in the social dynamic (Fe) and conceptualizing it through her songs, rather than recognizing an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 pattern and conceptualizing it through her songs (Ne over Ni). According to shadow functions, it's not uncommon for ISFJs to form "abstracts" and generate ideas due to their inferior Ne and demon Ni. It may cloud ISFJs’ judgment when activated and become trapped in false beliefs or unrealistic ideas; having their "head in the clouds" per se, as recurrently seen in her songs. Recognizing archetypes may be Ni, but not exclusive to Ni. Considering INFJs, they often struggle with forgetfulness and recalling the past, excluding memories that are impactful to them. This difficulty is due to neglecting details of sensory experiences, placing little value on processing such information (demon Si). Se in INFJs, belonging to inferior function–insecure, presents hurdles in objective sensory processing, leading to feel hyperaware, overwhelmed, or indifferent, depending on the individual. The demon function is undermined, the inferior function is volatile. I may or may not reply as I originally decided to disengage in discussions within this site and only reluctantly conceded because I dreamt of making a case for this page in my sleep. Feel free to continue with an open-minded discourse. And let's show some appreciation for ISFJs.

Although relatively new to global audiences, Laufey (it’s pronounced ‘Loy-Vay’) is already a familiar name in her native Iceland. Studying classical piano and cello from the age of four, she made her solo debut as a cellist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra when she was just 15. Along with her love of classical music, she developed a passion for singing, taking a keen interest in the Great American Songbook. Then, in 2014, she competed and became a finalist on Iceland’s Got Talent. A year later, Laufey reached the semi-finals of The Voice Iceland, becoming the youngest ever competitor in the series.
