Xu Yuan is the character that changes the least between the two worlds (he doesn't change at all, to be exact, and the reason is obvious) so I can actually use evidence from any chapter I've read for now. I initially thought he could be the stereotypical ENFP main character, then going on with a softer-than-usual ENTP, then going back again to ENFP and here's why. His Ne is quite evident in small instances recurring since the earlier chapters - mostly trivial things such as asking about his father out of nowhere and relating it to the current issue he has with his powers, the love triangle mess he came up with in his head when he met Yu Ziang during the date with Shen Shu and many other instances in almost every chapter. His Fi isn't exactly clear at the beginning - at least in my opinion - but during the arc in the alternative universe it becomes more evident. "It's fine. I won't let the rumors at school affect how I live my life!" Chapter 20. Not the only instance in which he's said something like this and this has convinced me he's somehow sure about living his life totally unaffected by what others think about him because he's sure he's in the "right". This is similar to what I previously said about Yu Ziang, but as his Ne is prominent and I haven't really seen a strong Si usage - on the contrary, it seems to be pretty low - ENFP seems to be extremely fitting. EDIT: Now that I think about it, his Si usage doesn't seem to be THAT terrible, but I still wouldn't say that it's stronger than his Te so I'm still sure he's an ENFP.
