[1/2] [𝘿𝙚𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙊1 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙤𝙡𝙛𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 & 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙝𝙚'𝙨 𝙖 𝙎𝙊2 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙] Wolfgang Akire has been typed as a SO1 for a while now, which I disagree with, but I can completely understand the viewpoint of everyone who has voted him as such. After all, I believe him to be a SO2, the most 𝙊𝙣𝙚-𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝟮. To cross out the possibility of SO1 for Wolfgang, you'd have to look at its trait structure, and realise that barely any of the listed traits fit him. In fact, they fit Damon much better, who's likely an actual SO1. (Edit 10-2025: I'm not certain about SO1 for Damon anymore, but my point about Wolfgang not being this type still stands. Besides, Damon fits the SO1 much more than Wolfgang.) These are the parts of the SO1 Trait Structure that can be most conveniently debunked: ⦿ 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 This coldness is described as how a SO1 appears in the social atmosphere. However, this doesn't apply to Wolfgang at all, who's been shown as warm, polite and friendly to others since the beginning. ⦿ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 The SO1 is described as maintaining distance with others in order to feel superior. Wolfgang, however, is extremely involved with others. ⦿ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 » “Even in dialectical difficulty, proving yourself right is always within reach. It is only a matter of waiting for the facts to prove it and for the dialectical confrontation to lead to this result. Therefore, emotional tantrums are neither necessary nor conceivable to convince or seduce others.” Wolfgang 𝘥𝘪𝘥 have an emotional outburst in order to convince others, as seen in the mock trial. This goes against the aforementioned text. An actual SO1 would avoid emotional outbursts in arguments, even if it could convince others. Example: “Killing a woman…is the worst thing a man could do.” “There's no excuse. There never *was* an excuse. Twenty-eight stab wounds! No girl — no person — should ever suffer Cara's fate!” “Silence! I won't allow this!” (In response to Jett’s comment) ⦿ 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 » “No situation, no guide, no group, and no person is perfect enough for SO1 to feel fully part of them or, in any case, in tune with them. (...) This leads to a perpetual situation of disharmony in dealing with people.” Unlike Damon, Wolfgang felt perfectly in tune with the rest, and was great at adapting to and dealing with the group. Again, this goes against the aforementioned text about SO1. ⦿ 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 » “They must be expressed in equally clear texts, without ambiguity, without arousing subjectivities. Speaking had to be, as a friend joked, "exact, correct, perfect".” First of all, Wolfgang does not express himself without arousing subjectivities, see my example in one of the previous points of where I debunked the trait “Imperturbability”. Second of all, he doesn't avoid ambiguity: Wolfgang: “My favorite court case…? …I don't know.” Damon (actual SO1): “Are you serious?” Wolfgang: “Out of countless court cases, how is it possible that I can only pick one?” “As my mother would say: we are only humans after all. The very idea of favorites can stump even the smartest individuals.” (FTE 2) In his third free time event, he also started responding vaguely and ambiguously in order to avoid answering Damon’s question directly (until eventually giving in), which was supposed to be a yes or no question. "Um...to the girl that is crying, please excuse my friend here.” “If it’s any reassurance, it seems my friends and I are in the same situation.” "You asked me if I knew anything about my friends besides their names and talents? Truthfully, I don't...but I'll continue to trust them as if I do...because they're Ultimates." In the beginning, he even called Damon his friend, who had been acting cold and distant to him around that time. Though Damon rejected the notion of them being friends as they barely knew each other. It was only until Chapter 1 where Wolfgang started to become more wary of Damon, which I’ll discuss in the next point. [1/2]
