She is a very clear ISFJ. People who are using Ni-dom arguments for her don't even know or realize how Ni works and it shows. In the starting of the movie she argues with her mum of how she is always confined as this goody-two-shoes stereotype as she has never gone ahead to do things in life or be spontaneous. People don't realize that at some things INFJs and ISFJs can be very similar, like how they won't be spontenous and need a plan to work. And while the both of these types can plan stuff and can be similar due to their Fe and Ti in the same position, how are they different? People don't realize that Intuitives experience the world very differently than Sensors, an Ni-dom will not be in the present at any given moment, at least not entirely, it is almost as if the brain is jumping hoops against the present. A lot of the times they are withdrawn by their own will but sometimes even without it. They are prone to be clumsy of their surroundings or are not completely unaware of it because of their Se-inf. For them they always see their present from a metaphorical window. Si-doms treasure experiences but Ni-dom don't, at least not to that extend. Naina is very aware of her surroundings. She knew how she have been perceived throughout her school years and remembers and values details of the past too. Furthermore she seems to have the desire to share her present experinces with her peers. Even despite being spontenous and rebellious at times she tend to have structure and follow meticulous steps to do things even if it is to win the track, she is the definiton of tortoise winning the race. Si function serves as a reminder from a mistake and learning through discipline, structure and experience, Naina does seem to have such traits as she tends to be a traditonalist in her ideology. Furthermore her awareness of the dynamics between Bunny and his friends and the prediction of Bunny not wanting a "typical" future isn't because of INFJ empathy but her Si-Fe working together. Her willingness to be out there is not to break the cycle but to know if she herself want to be in it by her own willing. She goes on to become a doctor and everything but she wants to settle in India. Her entire dialogue with Bunny on the day of their trip in the city when he came back was Si-dom and the entire thing was Si-Fe precipation. The interesting thing is Bunny is actually an ESTP so that seen was particularly interesting as her Si was competing with his Se. As an INTJ myself since I do have the Se function, despite not being into his constantly jumping around from one place to another lifestyle, as an Ni-dom, I believe in constantly improving and moving towards greater things. An Ni-dom feels too tied and tired by following traditions for the sake of sentiments. And welcome change and exploring what is ahead in a more fundamental way than ESTPs like Bunny does. But Si-doms values traditions and things being how they are on a fundamental level, like Naina. To me, her thought process for herself was confining. She would rather enjoy the same old routines with family and carrying out the same old same old. Funnily enough her doing this was perceived by some people her as Ni. Both Si-doms and Ni-doms can project to the futures. It is not whether they can think of the future or not but how they see it. With her, she wants to carry out her entire life in a stereotypical bubble being happy having a simple life. She cares about maintaining the past whereas Ni-doms want to create a new future. Nothing wrong with that, just not Ni-dom. Intuitives love to discuss ideas than people or experiences and would discuss complex possibilities or just everyday stuff in terms of ideas more. Somethings that bore normal people out. There is a reason why Intuitives are less common but Ni-doms are extermely rare. They are so uncommon that most people would only have a handful of people who are like that and even that is being generous let alone their representation done accurately in movies. Introverted Intuition is the hardest function to understand in MBTI because most people don't have it and they dont even know how it feels to have it let alone understand it. There was nothing in the movie that supported her being an INFJ at all as INFJ are big picture people with a lot of conceptual ideas and theories. They tend to fight for greater good or greater purpose even while living out their ordinary, they are always in pursuit of something instead of settling down. Unlike Naina who is not an INFJ but a very healthy ISFJ. Side note: If you want to have a reference of a true INFJ character in bollywood it would be that of Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. It is the closest INFJ to date in bollywood. Edit: I have been seeing people thinking she is Ni-dom just because she predicted Bunny's reaction even though it was her Si in play as she have known Bunny since school. What is funnier that people think that she is an INTJ. Clearly never seen an INTJ at work!
