I’m really surprised at how many ISTP votes there are, since he seems to be the epitome of an unhealthy Fi-dom. Is it because he’s typed as a cp 6? Anyways, here is why I think Albus is an ISFP. Dominant Fi: His entire character arc is based on wanting to be his own person. The need for authenticity and validation of his inner self is what drives him. While Ti users also crave individualism, they do this out of a need to be able to think for themselves without the influence of others rather than validating their own emotions by creating a unique identity. Auxiliary Se: His Se is pretty prominent. Like his dad, who he ironically considers himself not to be like at all, he often jumps before looking and reaps the consequences afterwards. Tertiary Ni: His Ni is not developed. Like, at all. In a way, he is future oriented, but only in an idealistic childish way that is influenced by his present life. His Ni is only arguably seen when he connects the dots at the end and predicts that his dad will see their message based off of the fact that Harry needs to be with his blanket on Hallows Eve every year. He assumes the consistent pattern in Harry’s behavior and relies on this prediction to save him and Scorpius. Additionally, this is not Si, because Albus hasn’t actually experienced this in the past. Inferior Te: Albus is sloppy at carrying out tasks. He can’t follow through his own plans consistently, and often ends up over-adapting them to the situation based on how he feels about things. — — Edit: He’s totally a sx 6. I previously voted sx 4 but he’s definitely a sx/sp 6w5 and an EFVL. Also does anyone else think about how interesting it is that both he and Harry are ISFPs? You have the more emotionally expressive and even aggressive ISFPs and then the more reserved laidback ISFPs. It’s crazy how many flavors of ISFPs there are, people overlook how diverse this personality type is which is probably why Albus was voted ISTP.
