On the surface, this seems like the story of two high school students—Reyya and Fairah—who discover rumors about a mysterious room at their school, Lucid Valley High School. The rumors say there's a "border" leading to the Backrooms. At first, it's considered a myth. Until students start disappearing. From there, the story takes a deeper turn. This isn't just an adventure into another world. It's about what's hidden behind the seemingly normal world. Their school turns out to be more than just a school. It's like a mask. A cover. Behind it, there's a system purposely built to hide something—traces of crimes, experiments, or a past they don't want people to know. The Backrooms in this story symbolize a liminal space—a place in between. Between the real and the unreal. Between human and something no longer human. When someone is trapped there for too long, they can change. Not just physically, but also mentally. Their identity is eroded.
