Galerianki (Mall Girls)

Galerianki ("Mall Girls") is a 2009 Polish film directed by Katarzyna Rosłaniec. It depicts the troubled lives of the so-called "Mall Girls" - teenagers who look for sponsors in shopping malls in the late 2000s. The film focuses on a group of such girls who decide to welcome a shy newcomer into their friend circle and introduce her to their lifestyle. It became an instant success, although there were worries about the characters becoming role models for young viewers instead of a cautionary tale.
