Davis mbti kişilik türü

Kişilik

"Davis hangi kişilik türü? Davis, MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 548 'de ENTP kişilik türüdür, RCUEI, RCUEI, büyük 5, ILI' dır."

I believe Davis is a rather untypical ENTP who, multiple times during the movie, shows partially unhealthy behavior within his functions, be it through explicit use of high Ne, underdeveloped Fe, or by sliding into his shadow functions after the immediate loss of his wife. Especially in the beginning, we can see his trickster Fi at it's work. One can see that it's severely underdeveloped, as he at first didn't even realize his lack of emotions in his partnership. We see that he never really paid attention to his surroundings (low Se) and, for the first time, experiences all that stimulation as a coping mechanism. His Ne is overtuned thanks to this, and he needs to understand all the defective things in his life, so much so that he disassembles or "demolishes" these things. In general, his high Ne "shines" throughout the movie, and, as he comes to terms with his emotions, he starts to get healthier as well. He starts experimenting and just doing the stuff he wants to do, like talking to random people on the train because he's curious or demolishing things, dancing in a crowd of people, asking weird questions during an interview, the list goes on and on. One moment in particular is quite interesting, as he goes to a doctor with the statement that he feels numb for the last 12 years (probably the amount of time he's been with his wife). Overall, he's not in tune with his emotions, so much that he realizes this only after a major shock in his life. He then, shortly after, gets a nail into his foot and instead of crying about it or being upset, he laughs like a maniac - that is how much he is not in tune with his feelings. So now, those functions could also be interpreted as an INTP, too, after all devil Fi is their worst shadow function and low Fe would be easier to explain, with his wife literally being unfaithful because of it (presumably). I'd still argue that he leans heavily into Ne dom. One argument for that would be the lack of shown Ti dom. Out of the top of my head, I can think of one example shown in the movie where he shows explicit Ti and it is in combination with his Ne-Si. That example would be the one where he argues with the kid about cursing and how the kid curses in an inefficient way. Other than that, one could say the many times he deems something broken are an implication of Ti, but all of these moments are, again, paired up with high Ne. Another reason for me would be his high extroversion. Now, cognitive functions don't distinguish between extroverted or introverted. However, one thing many ENTP and INTP will agree upon is that ENTP are more outgoing and will tell you something you don't even want to hear, while INTP are way more likely to just swallow it up. I know it's not an objective argument in favor of him being an ENTP, but even the occupation (investment banker) Davis chose is something an ENTP would feel comfortable with. It's an occupation many ENTP bloom in. One can only assume this, but he might have chosen that occupation because it may be a strength of his - debating with other people and finding an optimal investment partner; taking risks, softening up clients etc. Though, Davis also explains that he doesn't do that much at work, and others do the heavy lifting, so take that argument with a grain of salt. I could go on with other arguments, but I'm losing my motivation for finding more reasons and I wanna finish this paragraph up with something personal. I myself identify as an ENTP and I see a lot of my behavior and my mistakes, especially in Davis throughout the movie, but especially right after his wife died. I guess it is an indication of very low Fi, but after my grandparents died (both of them died at different times) I, like Davis, did not know how to feel. I couldn't cry, I couldn't say that I cared like my other family members did. I remember going outside, taking a walk (I never took walks) and taking in my surroundings. Other things I can see in Davis that remind me of myself are his recklessness and especially his lack of understanding towards his wife. His wife wasn't fulfilled during their marriage and Davis clearly didn't see it. He blended her, like so many other things in his life, out and lived his life like a machine. I see my younger self in him, back when I was in a relationship too and like him I also didn't see how unhappy my partner was. I worked my butt off and was surprised when I found out my ex was being unfaithful to me. I also tend to write down whatever is happening in my life whenever I'm not happy. I usually don't adress them to anyone, though we know that Davis did not expect to receive an answer. He, too, uses these letters as a coping mechanism, but then again, other non-ENTP could cope that way. So, 4900 letters later, I'm done with my analysis (if you can call it that) and I wanna say that I'm open to debating on that topic. The movie really left an impression on me, and I guess this is my way of showing it.
