So I'm thinking all three of the Mafia 1 guys are 6s, and each of their arcs even correspond with one of the 6 subtypes. I'll try to keep this first part spoiler-free and then I'll include some additional info after the text gets cut off. So be warned, if you click the read more option, you'll get spoilers. When we first meet Sam, he's stoic and serious. Paulie's the more free-spirited, fun one - Sam, he's all business. The Don has a quote regarding him, where he says something like, "Sam is loyal and smart, but he lacks vision." Sam's reserved, he's dutiful, he's not big-picture oriented. He seems like a pretty clear-cut ISTJ to me. (Especially in contrast to Tom, who I think is an INTJ. Sam does as he's told and doesn't question it, because if the Don says it, it's fact - meanwhile, Tommy is able to identify when he's not being told the whole truth, and seek out the reality. Salieri ends up respecting this quality, rather than perceiving it as disrespect.) MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW As for the six, I think Sam's betrayal is a good example of when a 6 turns cowardly and slimy lmao. When this happens, they can become self-preservational above all and can be known to give up their alliances to save their own butts. Sam ends up doing this. His disintegration to 3 can also be noted - giving up Tommy, who was lining up to succeed Salieri, knowing that he himself will ascend in his place. He ends up backstabbing his friends for the sake of his career and his security. His final speech was very so6, with the gist being along the lines of, "Our business has rules, Tom, and you and Paulie didn't follow them. These are the consequences." And he has the nerve to be faux-apologetic. Sam sought out strong alliances and a superior to take orders from, and he devotes himself to that superior and to the rules established by him until the end. This also directly mirrors Tommy. Tom picked HIS family - Sam picked THE family.
