Spoilers for Trials & Tribulations folks! Godot is *hardcore* an 8w9, and while @[Theodoric] made a great post below as to why he is, there are a few more points I'd like to make, as well Personally, I believe Godot's entire plan to simultaneously get revenge on Phoenix, whom he saw as the symbolic cause of Mia's death, and protect Maya, whom he saw as the symbolic final remnant of Mia, can be interpreted as a heavily, *heavily* disintegrated 8 trying to regain some semblance of control in his life, even if that control is completely delusional and driven by anger. Rather than getting scattered, nihilistic, and lackadaisical towards responsibilities like a disintegrating 5 tends to do, Godot instead began brooding, and sulking in his anger; since Dahlia was already dead, Godot had nothing to blame for Mia's death, or the tragedy of his coma, or the failure of the court system to protect the innocent Fawles. When Godot woke up, I imagine that his thoughts and fears were not that he was incompetent for allowing this to happen, but rather that everything in his life had gone completely out of his control, starting his very long 8 disintegration. So Godot began a long plan to regain control in his life: rather than return as a Defense Attorney, he joined the Prosecutor's office, with the main reason not being due to any need to attain competence in a new field like a 5 might, but rather for the powerful perks: information on criminal affairs, access to the police, and being on the side of the law that has more power, and to me, that *screams* type 8. And this culminated in his plan to "stop" Morgan, and more importantly, Dahlia, from killing Maya. As Godot said, even if it had been Pearl who was channeling Dahlia, he still would have killed her. His goal was never to protect Maya, it was to get revenge on Dahlia, and establish the ultimate form of control over his life's tragedy: even after Dahlia's death, and his own "death," he would finally have his revenge against her; he'd finally have his resolution. Yet given how Godot's attitude was during the final segment of the last trial, I feel he realized that he ultimately gained nothing from killing her: Morgan was dead, Maya was traumatized, Godot would almost certainly be caught, and most of all, Dahlia came back anyway. It wasn't until Mia came in to deliver a final emotional death knell to Dahlia that Godot realized his plan was horrid, and when he realized his lack of vulnerability only lead to him murdering Maya and Mia's own mother. That's why I believe he gave that one last speech on his trauma at the end of the trial: he had realized his delusional type-8 desire for control was pointless, but too late, so he allowed one last moment of vulnerability, both to *cleanse* himself, and, as I believe, a small moment of connection to type-2 towards Phoenix. Really, I don't think Godot was motivated by a sense of incompetence: he was incredibly confident to a fault, oriented towards action over thinking, and was not particularly interested in any mechanical, conceptual, or other deeper elements regarding the world of law like a 5 might be. Rather, Godot's tragedy was the result of an 8's worst fears coming true: he lost *all* control- over his body, over his career, over his loved ones- and turned two people into obsessions to regain just a little control for himself. Yet, in my opinion, the real tragedy of his enneagram was that he still had some control. Godot survived. He managed to become a Prosecutor, and he could have *actually* offered to take care of Maya, or confide in Phoenix, rather than lust over his downfall. In the end, by allowing his desire for control to consume him and kill Morgan, he really did lose all control.

Biyografi

Godot was the mysterious coffee-loving prosecutor for Phoenix Wright's cases from October 2018 until February 2019. He held an open grudge against Wright (although it would be some time until Wright would find out why), intentionally mispronouncing his name as "Trite" to show his contempt. Godot was originally Diego Armando, a senior defense lawyer working at Grossberg Law Offices. Armando's talent as an attorney was matched only by his hot-shot confidence that bordered on smugness. He was generally very calm and collected, rarely being rattled even when at a serious disadvantage. This sheer ability to keep his cool was on display while helping Mia Fey through her first trial. He retained this trait in his new persona as Godot, as he was the only one unfazed by Furio Tigre's intimidating demeanor. Godot had a particular habit of using countless metaphors and quotes constituting his "rules", though their meanings were often lost on others.
