Clay probably isn’t an INFJ because he wasn’t curious about the tapes. Meaning he had low Ni. Ni is the dominant function of INFJs that wants to connect the dots and get to the deeper meaning of things. Originally Clay wanted to forget about the tapes all together and disregard the deeper meaning of Hanna’s suicide. Additionally Clay somewhat resents Hannah for killing herself rather than blaming himself for the infinite things he could have done instead of ignoring her. If clay was an idealist (INFJ) he would be more aware of his own character flaws and feel more empathy for Hannah rather than using Si to dwell on Hanna rejecting him.
