[1/3] Giselle 2 core is horrible. A trend I have unfortunately noticed on this website is typing the most obvious 9s as 2 for almost unknown reasons. I don’t want to spend more time on this introduction section so let us get to the meat and bones between the differences of 2 and 9, why she fits 9 and why social 2 is an extremely bad typing for her. The heart triad is based in the emotional body, with 2 being the first type in the triad. The people of the heart triad tend to move towards people, their fixation is based on love and validation, hence these types put heavy emphasis on how they want to be perceived and their own image, having a preoccupation with their image. For the type 2, this does not manifest as „The Helper“ character everyone is used to, 2s have a passion for their pride and this is fixed in their character through false generosity, meaning they unconsciously expect something in return. Knowing this we know that they are not altruistic or truly generous. To get what they want, they use seduction and manipulation. They are fixated on this flattery which leads to the previously mentioned passion of pride, causing them to result into someone who feels superior, great and important. Now let’s try to apply this to Giselle. The problem is... we can’t. Giselle is not prideful nor image oriented in the slightest. She does not use flattery to gain value, she is not driven by a need for love, she is not an attention seeker nor does she feel like she is someone who is great and important. She is a common girl thrown in a horrible situation that she had no control over, only being able to slowly wither away as time passed. As we meet Giselle, she only started working for Michel’s father because she wanted to provide for her family. She had no care for the noble status the Bollinger family had, nor did she want to be known and loved. All she wanted was to support those around her. After getting assaulted by his father, she was forced to move in with Michel, who would treat her horribly during their time together and ended up hurting her. Afterwards, after being kicked out of the mansion and living in the village nearby, even though she was liked by the people there, it never got to her head nor did she love the attention she was getting. If we want to contrast her with an actual 2 core in the series, we need to look no further than Nellie. Being extremely love addicted and prideful, Nellie wants all eyes on her, she wants everyone to appreciate her and love her for being so great and amazing, especially her brother, having an extreme obsession with her image and how she appears to others, which we do not see in Giselle at all. Turning over to the gut triad, here we can find the type 9, located in the middle of the three. For these types, the fixation is crystallized in the physical body, these types misuse the energy of the mental and emotional bodies in service to the physical body’s impulse to rage, these types „fall asleep“ with their essence and lazily don’t wake up from it, becoming externally directed and reactive to changes of the outside world. Then, moving onto 9, what is immediately noticeable is the apparent absence of anger. On the surface, 9s often seem to be flowing with the world. Since anger has been avoided on such a deep, primal level, the surface symptom for the 9 is an unwillingness to feel and express anger in the moment. Rather than feel the anger, they employ various strategies to ignore it. This avoidance leads to the passion of sloth and a fixation on indolence. The sloth of the nine does not mean literal sloth you’re thinking of, it’s a laziness of the psyche. 9s are people who, because of their avoidance of anger, end up losing their inner essence. A 9 is a person who is overadapted to the desires of others, overly complacent, and with scant initiative. Their inner state resembles going around half asleep, half dead to life. They forget themselves and lose themselves in others, not recognizing their needs.
