Oh my. Oh goody. Greta Evans is (yes - yes - yes!) an ENFJ. Imagine the hand ocean from the audience upon learning this news. Calm obeisance. We're gonna see worship. Let it sink in. I know all the ENFJs are excited. What makes Greta an ENFJ is not that she's kind, but that she is kind of kind to deflect and to protect the crystal that is in her skull, viz. her repression of subjective optics (Ti). Our lady of the house does not want to be a symbol in her own right, so she's super polite and gets herself trapped nannying in Brahmsville, where Brahms needs changing. Many people change things in Brahms' mouth, but I digress. Why is Greta Evans an ENFJ? Greta Evans is a dominant objective feeler, which is why she can't help but giggle when she is first introduced to Brahms. The scene plays like an Fe dominant introduced into an Fi world. Greta doesn't feel out of place, but she projects a feeling like Brahms' mother and father are being absurd. This is how Fe hurts people's feelings, it makes them feel alienated, i.e. Fe can make you feel stupid for feeling your personal feelings. Anyone who has lived with an Fe dominant can attest to that being the case. It's nothing personal. They just don't read into the "personal" where feelings are concerned, kind of like how I am with people's logic. Te doesn't factor in your thinkings and Fe doesn't factor in your feelings. Greta is dominant in not factoring in your feelings. Malcolm : "Okay, I see that you're... a writer from... Phoenix, Montana. You've come here to be inspired by the English countryside and to get away from the hustle and bustle of your life in the U.S. of A." Greta Evans : "No." Malcolm : "Close?" Greta Evans : "Um... not at all. No." This dialogue examples Greta's dominant Fe in response to Malcolm. She added in the "not at all" part because Fe doesn't particularize to how an individual is feeling. She knows he's flirting with her, but she's not reading into his emotional personal backstory he's presenting with his tone and inflections of speech in that moment, so her response is quite cold and blunt, even though she herself isn't. She's accurate assessing his feelings (Fe), but she's not intending to be precise (Fi). Mr. Heelshire : [about Brahms] "Be good to him and he'll be good to you. Be bad to him and..." Mrs. Heelshire : [interrupting him] "Oh... she will be good to him, won't you, Mrs. Evans?" Greta Evans : "Yes, I'll--I'll treat him like my own." This dialogue examples Greta's Fe-Ni. As she responds she uses subjective knowledge/expectancy (Ni) to align herself with objective metrics (Fe). Greta Evans : "You wouldn't hurt me, would you, Brahms?" This quote is an ENFJ holding positive potential up in the air. Greta Evans is an ENFJ.
