After watching all 10 episodes, I think that Purple is an ISTP. This is my analysis and the reasons why, starting from the most obvious: 1. Inferior Fe (IXTP types) They normally don't prioritize group harmony, and they are not afraid to oppose anyone in order to make the most logical decision. For instance, they constantly clash with Red for their irresponsible behavior in sticking to MIRA protocols and letting crewmates die for the sake of "looking good" for their captain position. However, even as brash and blunt as Purple may be, they still care about the wellbeing of the other crewmates. As noted in their backstory, Purple is resentful of MIRA for cutting corners over prioritizing the safety of their workers and wanted to whistleblow the corrupt system (this can also stem from Ti dom, as they finds the system illogical). For instance, they befriended Cyan when they found them crying in the pantry and consoled them. At that moment, Purple was very awkward, stating "Oh, emotions" and "There's tears coming out from your eyes" upon facing this situation. As inf Fe manifests as a childlike state, this is shown when Purple crashes out over their pet fish when it dies due to a lack of oxygen, and they secretly retrieve its body afterward. 2. Tertiary Ni (ISTP) Purple is good at piecing clues together and connecting the dots. For example, they have a eureka moment and realize that Green is the impostor when they find out Green does not remember the backstory that they told them during the O2 and light sabotages during their confrontation in the reactor. Other than that, Purple is also aware of the long-term implications that Red will cause due to his negligence and MIRA's corrupt corporate system, where they fail to attend to the crew's safety as well as shipping Ore+ knowing they are alien impostor eggs. Purple also pieced their observations together and figured out that impostors can use vents after watching Orange's ejection, that everyone is suffering from hypoxemia, and that the impostors' weakness is salt (by piecing together the fact that Orange didn't want salt on their pizza, and the crewmates used salt in an attempt to drive off impostors before they died). They also have a Ti-Ni loop for most of the show where they keep hyperfixating on Red being the imposter, using every plausible instance of Red being suspicious to prove their conclusion. 3. Auxiliary Se Purple has good observation, as seen when they figured out that impostors are boneless by watching Orange's impostor form explode in space, and when they figured out salt is the weakness of the impostors by observing the scene of death. 4. Dominant Ti Even as they accuses people, her statements are logical. They don't take things at face value; like when everyone said that Yellow was the one who killed Cyan since Yellow was the last person to be with Cyan, they must have realized that Yellow killing Cyan—knowing that everyone knew Yellow was the only one with them—was illogical, therefore proposing a theory where an impostor might have framed Yellow by kill-venting in electrical. Although they might seem to have a Ne-Si axis, this is not the case because their Ne-ish behavior stems from being hypervigilant and scanning for threats, but even so the threats are based on the trajectory of events happening as observed with their immediate physical reality (Se). and they don't have Si despite asking Red to be responsible all the time because they are only doing the things that makes sense to them logically (like asking Red to fly the spaceship themselves) and totally disregards any protocol that makes no sense to them (like the certain MIRA protocols that totally neglects the safety of the crew). And the grudge they have on Red and MIRA does not mean they have Si. It is due to the fact that the event of betrayal effected their physical reality so much there is no way they can easily give it up (traumatizing). And they were accusatory against Red because they were indeed suspicious by covering up deaths and the existence of aliens. Therefore, Purple's cognitive functions are Ti-Se-Ni-Fe, an ISTP. Other remarks: And Purple is a classic sx6, where they are paranoid, constantly scanning for threats, and responding to danger or disagreement with people with intimidation and aggression (and being accusatory). They are 6w5 instead of 6w7 because they seek security by being competent and knowledgeable. (might come back and line edit this analysis for clarity).
