The pure phlegmatic is calm, even tempered, well-controlled, silent, contained, wary, reflective, circumspect, tolerant, intelligent, constantly occupied, patient, persevering, tenacious, methodical, concise, punctual, patriotic, virtuous, sober, impassive, honourable, a man of habits and principles, is interested in things more than people. He has cold kindness, sexual continence, apparent indifference, dignity, a wide mind, independence of opinions, long lasting sympathies, objectivity, a sense of humour and is slow to make decisions. He worries about the future, has little sympathy but great understanding for his fellow human beings. There is accordance between words and actions. He may lack imagination, but has a very open mind and great intellectual abilities; he is kind and attached to principles, courageous and stoic and if it were not for his tremendous sense of humour he could be considered the biggest bore of all.
