Textbook INFJ. His thinking is extremely convergent: everything fits into his revolutionary theory. Dude looks at the model of astro chart they’re using and explains how it perfectly symbolizes everything wrong with an Imperial controlled galaxy: it doesn’t get any more Ni dom then that. There’s none of the exploration of possibility you’d get from an Ne user. He feels like he already has the whole truth figured out from the start and throws his entire life into fighting for it. When the practice of engaging in revolutionary action doesn’t fit his ideal, he really struggles to reconcile that. A strong indicator of a judging function stack. People typing him as an Fi dom because he’s ‘a true believer in the cause’ is a pretty egregious example of PDB users not understanding what Fe is. Fe isn’t just “wanting harmony” or whatever, it’s an externalized objective form of feeling. Objective in this context meaning that it’s formed from the outside world rather than being internally driven. Yes, he cares deeply about the rebel cause. But none of his care seems to be internally driven or self oriented. His sense of value is external, other oriented. He wants to help save the galaxy and intuitively recognizes himself as only being a tiny piece of that. He doesn’t seem to place much of any importance on himself individually, a bullet in the brain of any Fi dom typing if you ask me. His feeling is very big picture focused and connected. When he finds out that Cassian doesn’t actually care about fighting for the rebellion, he doesn’t pass judgment or reject him the way an Fi dom might. He can’t stand strong in his own beliefs without connecting them to others, so he NEEDS to reconcile his values with Andor’s and show him the righteousness of their cause. That’s extroverted feeling right there. Very much externalized and ‘objective’ in how he frames it. It’s a great example of how the Fe need for harmony can manifest in ways besides just being a pushover. The Ti can be seen in how his outwardly defined sense of value is articulated through inwardly defined theory. Writing a manifesto in your free time is an extremely Ni - Ti hobby to have. His intellectual flair is way too obvious for him to be thinking inferior. The inferior Se can be seen in him happily joining the rebellion but being kinda bad at actually being a soldier. He’s surrounded by a bunch of very experienced sensors; he has a hard time keeping up and putting his body where his brain is. For enneagrams, I think people mostly have it right but I would definitely put 2 for his heart fix over 4. I don’t see a triple withdrawn for him, and I don’t see the inferiority complex of the 4 at all. His inability to take no for an answer from Andor feels very 2 to me and it helps explain why he’s so sociable for a 9 - 5 tritype combo along with his SO instinct.
