Alright, from analyzing the prologue, I've come to the conclusion of Fe dom. I'm a bit uncertain between core 3 and core 1, but I'd lean towards core 3 for her concern about protecting her image. I was kinda beat to posting an argument (but tbh idm it’s good to have my ideas affirmed), but I still wanna argue. ESFJ (or just Fe dom in general really) She doesn't exactly seem like a Fe dom, but rest assured I'm almost sure she is. She has a grandiose, elegant nature to her, and she actively attempts to convey such. Despite this however, it's clear Toshiko is highly dependent on external emotional input and how she is perceived. She attempts to influence the emotional atmosphere to invoke feelings in others (most notable in describing the graveyard and the big tree elevator). This can also be seen when introducing Grace and Wolfgang where she attempts to glorify them and gives them a grand introduction to the other 11. She plays off the remarks other people make (most notable with Grace) and constantly critiques the way people express themselves, albeit indirectly. Additionally, she is overall highly attuned to her image and the way she presents herself. Her way of speaking clearly has purpose to it; it is meant to give you the perception she is elegant, poetic, and mature despite the fact she's only 14. She tries to take charge in order to be taken seriously (which kinda blows up in her face), and constantly watches the way in which people behave themselves and interact. It’s important to note that Fe doms aren’t just empaths who constantly change with each person they meet. They can be rigid and use the emotions of others to feed their own goals (I’m almost certain she’s insulted everyone in the cast in order to highlight the way in which they’re expressing themselves “wrongly”). Why I think IxFJ is wrong I'd no longer go with ISFJ because she lacks presence in the sensory world. The sensory world, at least for Toshiko, is simply an extension of her strong Fe which she uses to influence emotions. From the way she is dressed to comments on body language, she doesn't necessarily put a huge emphasis on it (at least in comparison to Fe). While she is highly conscious of the way she appears to others, she utilizes other ways (in this case emotional influence) to prove herself. While she certainly comments about the environment often, it’s almost always to influence mood. She makes it a point for people to have manners despite the fact she herself insults people and is (sadly) not very helpful. She lacks any form of logical conviction and can barely look at logical debates through other lenses by herself. She doesn’t hold any rigidity in her line of thinking- if anything it’s wobblier than jello. She does, however, stick to her guns regarding how people should behave and constantly looks to others for some sort of validation even if she attempts to hide it. All of this leads me to my next point. 316 As previously mentioned, Toshiko tries her best to make an elegant, mature impression on other people so that she isn’t swept under the rug for being a short little kid. She has gone ahead and tried to make herself seem something she is not purely for the validation and appreciation from other people. This is literally CLASSIC sx3 behavior. She modifies the way she acts and tries to present a glorified image of herself when in reality she is ultimately just a little kid who can’t really handle the likes of a killing game. She desperately wants to be seen as a gracious guide by others, but she just can't execute it right. She’s quick in trying to protect her image (both calmly such as interacting with Grace and frantically after the body is discovered) when she does wrong, seeks to involve herself in order to be seen as useful, and tries to enter the role of “leader” when she isn’t suited for such a role. This is only exacerbated by the fact she’s a 1 fix. Go back to the prologue and take a shot for every time she says the word “manners.” She’s uptight about the way in which people conduct themselves and doesn’t hesitate to try and get them to conform to the “right” way of acting. She places high standards on both herself and those around her, and she is seen constantly criticizing other people throughout the duration of the prologue. I wouldn’t, however, type her core 1 for the pure reason that her E1 behavior is simply an extension of her E3 characteristics the same way Si is an extension for her Fe. Her 6 is primarily shown after the BDA. It’s very clear that the moment large amounts of stress are placed on her, she crumbles and can no longer be the “guiding overseer” she wants to be. She regresses and allows others to handle the work for her. Arguments are always welcome!
