His bio states - “After being run over by a truck, he inspirits an intersection and seeks to get his revenge on passing trucks." Jibanyan is popularly known as one of the mascots of the Yo-kai Watch franchise, as well being the mascot of Yo-kai Watch, Yo-kai Watch 2, and Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps. Due to his popularity, there are many members of his species across the many games, which span multiple Tribes and Ranks. When Nate and Nathaniel borrow all the other Yo-kai's strength, Jibanyan and Whisper can fuse to turn into Buchinyan.
