Kişilik

"Telemachus hangi kişilik türü? Telemachus, MBTI, 1w2 - - 'de ISTJ kişilik türüdür, RCOAN, RCOAN, büyük 5, SLI' dır."

First of all, I love him 🥹 Second of all, I don't think E1 makes much sense? He certainly fits E1’s fixation (resentment) and passion (anger)—however, unlike E1s, Telemachus doesn’t desire perfection out of anyone, including himself. Literally all he expects out of people is for them to not slaughter each other. Telemachus’s anger seems to be a result of all the trauma and injustice he’s been exposed to his whole life. Furthermore, unlike E1s, Telemachus has zero desire for control. He has never had interest in ruling and improving Ithaca despite being the Crown Prince. He’s unbothered by sudden, unstructured situations, and is happy to follow life wherever it takes him (easily accepting Penelope’s decision to sail to Ithaca after Odysseus’s death, sailing to Scylla with no plan in mind, accompanying Circe to go wherever she wants witbout a plan). I also think that, when you look closer at Telemachus’s actions, he hasn’t always been so reproachful of immorality. He silently tolerated Odysseus’s tyranny for years, despite disagreeing with the behaviour. When Odysseus ordered him to murder innocent people, Telemachus obeyed. His desire to maintain peace with his father took priority over his desire to be just. By the time Circe meets Telemachus, his moral reproach is mainly rooted in guilt and self-hatred for all the lives he and his father took. → “I let him be what he was for year after year, raging and beating the servants, shouting at my mother and turning our house to ash. He told me to help him kill the suitors and I did it. Then he told me to kill all the men who had aided them, and I did that too.” I cannot imagine an E1 allowing themselves to be pushed around like this, especially when they know that what they're doing is wrong. Personally, I think E9 fits best. Telemachus doesn't have much direction in his life. He's happiest living a simple life where he can peacegully work with his hands. Telemachus doesn't seem too involved in his own desires, and mostly goes along with others want (helping Odysseus to slaughter, his obedience to Penelope, trying to please Athena, promising to follow Circe anywhere). It takes Telemachus many, MANY years to realise that what Odysseus and Athena want for him isn't actually what *he* wants, leading him to eventually rebel against them. Telemachus's reaction to conflict also suggests E9 > E1. His first reaction is to resign and numb himself to the conflict; he does not attempt to correct or control it, as E1s would. I also want to point out that Telemachus doesn't avoid conflict out of fear (which would be more indicative of E6, particularly sp6), but simply because he doesn't care to protest. His avoidance seems to be rooted mostly in indolence. → “My father could plot and rage, but I did not have to see it. My mother could eat one piece of cheese all day and let her eyes turn grey on her loom, but I did not have to see that either.” → “My father lied about many things, but he was right when he called me a coward. I let him be what he was for year after year, raging and beating the servants, shouting at my mother and turning our house to ash. He told me to help him kill the suitors and I did it. Then he told me to kill all the men who had aided them, and I did that too.” Sp9 makes the most sense, imo, due to his reactivity, stubbornness, and quick temper. I can't see Telemachus as any of the other subtypes; he's far too secular and ignorant of social conventions to be so9, and I wouldn't expect a sx9 to be so reactive and rebellious.

Biyografi

Telemachus is the son of Odysseus and Penelope. He disagreed with his father’s cruelty and values kindness and humanity. He falls in love with Circe and vows to stay with her forever. He also likes to fix stuff and have something to do.
