Those are just illusions, words are just metaphors that humans create to describe the world around them, social constructs to say so. Woman is a gender, and conceptions about gender vary from society to society and change all the time. The only answer to "what is a woman" is what society considers to be a woman, but also individuals should have the right to identify, and a good society should recognize that.
