In contrast to Kafka (INFP 5w4), Brod struck me as someone more abreast with the workings of the external world. As such, he was able to get much of Kafka’s works published as his literary executor. I’m not certain what type Brod was, but ENFx seems likely. Perhaps he had greater Te than Kafka. Or maybe it was just well-developed Se. What is known is that he remained strong friends with him up until the end of his life. He was also able to see Kafka’s true talent (Ni). Then again, I will have to do more research.

Max Brod (Hebrew: מקס ברוד‎; 27 May 1884 – 20 December 1968) was a Czech German-speaking Jewish, later Israeli, author, composer, and journalist. Although he was a prolific writer in his own right, he is best remembered as the friend and biographer of writer Franz Kafka. Kafka named Brod as his literary executor, instructing Brod to burn his unpublished work upon his death. Brod refused and had Kafka's works published instead.
