Anthony Marshon Davis Jr. (born March 11, 1993), nicknamed "AD", is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Davis plays the power forward and center positions. A ten-time NBA All-Star, he has been named to four All-NBA First Teams and five NBA All-Defensive Teams. In 2021, he was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019, where he won an NBA championship in 2020. In February 2025, he was traded to the Mavericks in exchange for Luka Dončić, in what was regarded as one of the most unexpected trades in American sports history.
