Cliff's shyness stems from Ti, not Fi. In a dialogue the player can have with him at green heart: "Just having you around gives me the courage to be myself." IXFJs, and particularly INFJs can be extremely shy when in Ni-Ti loops, as their tertiary Ti can make them believe that others don't particularly like them or that their own desires or feelings are a nuisance or not worthy of discussing.
