He can’t even bring himself to be truly sad when he knows he’s gonna get caught - instead he cracks a joke (“peer pressure, i’m far too sensitive”). Sp blind because he is totally counterproductive to the sp7 and doesn’t care about dying or going to jail. Additionally, he is only accommodating to Billy and even then he still stabbed him too deep for fun.
