I’m praying for the day when PDB users learn that kind or nice characters, especially if they’re in leadership positions, are NOT all 2s. Where do you all see this guy’s pride of being lovable, his histrionism/attention-seeking, his desire for love and admiration? Especially the social 2, who seeks to seduce groups by aiding others and being knowledgeable??? Social 9 fits him way better. In Book 5 of Heroes of Olympus, he is described as a “lanky cat stretched out in the sunshine. His [Will] movements were relaxed and nonthreatening, his gaze soft and far away” (page 135). This shows that not only is he a part of the withdrawn triad (9, along with 5 and 5) and seeks to stay out of overinvolving himself and conflict, but he has the equal, all-encompassing pacifist kindness of a 9. He merges with groups (the Apollo Cabin, the Greek demigods) instead of attempting to seduce them. He is very selfless and uninvolved with himself too, almost being an extreme peacemaker. Additionally, the 9 (as part of the gut group with 1 and 8) rejects their anger and removes themselves from it, so they never seem angry. However, their aggression and rage only bursts to the surface occasionally. In Will’s case, he is never seen as being particularly upset, defensive, or angry in the series (also attributing to his triple positive 279 tritype) unless it’s in battle against enemies that are trying to destroy the world and attack his home, in which case he rarely expresses his anger. Even then, he is the camp’s combat medic, so it’s not like he prefers battling physically, but instead removes himself (withdrawn type 9) from the action and heals others off the battlefield.
