Idk, all her fad diets/"lifestyle changes"/100-day challenges (that are inevitably cut short) strike me as the product of Fi-Ni looping? Fruitless setting of goals/achievements (continuous images of possibility seen through hopeful lens of Ni) set under the guise of doing something different but with no real grounding and thus ultimate failure... only to repeat again. Found an article that discusses the inferior Te (in ISFPs and INFPs): "...Ultimately, Fi forcefully rejects the Te perspective because it fears that universal standards and generalizations will degrade individual experience and, without valuing one’s own experience, one’s life no longer has any special meaning. Therefore, unhealthy or immature Fi-doms do their utmost to reject Te in order to protect their ego-image as a “unique, sensitive, and reflective” person. "Fi will use Te to confirm its own biased judgments, values, or expectations. In other words, Fi-doms will develop a maladaptive tendency to misinterpret external standards of worth or achievement... "When Fi is not functioning in a healthy manner, Fi-doms will be more prone to behaving in ways that seem irrational, self-centered, oversensitive, or obstinate, and this will lead to ever fluctuating self-esteem and a buildup of feelings of isolation, inadequacy, or worthlessness, especially when they are unable to organize or express their ideas/values coherently and, as a result, find it difficult to achieve any meaningful goals in life. "...Proper Te desires predictability and is completely comfortable with seeing external reality as having strict rules, structures, and boundaries... Fi-doms may exhibit somewhat desperate attempts to push back against external standards/structures as a way to reinforce their own right to self-expression and defend against the stifling and inflexible nature of Te. For example, they might: look for superficial ways to express their self-image outwardly, explore “alternative” ideas or ideologies in order to avoid the feeling of being mainstream/ordinary, endlessly seek out “meaningful” experiences to immerse themselves in, be quick to detect “phoniness” or insincerity in others, be quick to point out flaws or inaccuracies in “the system”, focus too much attention on the idea of wrongdoing or injustice, adopt a rigid or black/white approach to morality, be overconfident about the truth and coherence of their own moral judgments, judge people who go “by the book” as unimaginative or controlling, become oversensitive to criticism, become too withdrawn or conflict averse, try to limit their social interactions and experiences to what they deem personally acceptable/comfortable, and so on." If this isn't Amber. (I cut down the passages a lot cause I didn't want this comment to be brutally long but here's the link if anyone's curious: https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/post/128803785927/how-functions-work-inferior-te-ISFPINFP.) An excerpt from another site: "Unhealthy ISFPs play ego-defensive survival games when they are feeling insecure, trapped, or threatened. During this phase they can become especially thrill-seeking, emotional, and impulsive. They tend to feel like they need to either create some excitement for themselves or else take action on projects. The only problem is that, in this stage, they quickly get bored with the projects they undertake and wind up leaving them half-finished. [Literally every weight-loss "attempt" we've seen from Amber.] This only heightens their frustration. They often feel like they are the only person trying to do the right thing, and unhealthy ISFPs can develop a “martyr” complex, feeling that they are a misunderstood misfit in the world and that no one is capable of understanding them." Granted, there was a similar description for the unhealthy ESFP except, when they give up on projects, they "become overly-indulgent in watching TV, eating too much, or otherwise overloading their senses." From my understanding, the ESFP will fall back into over-stimulating their Se, whereas the ISFP will fall back into their unhealthy Fi.
