Togashi is a great example of an INTP and his cognition bleeds through in Hunter x Hunter. The Ti principles can seen in the creation of the Nen system as well as the unique games and challenges that take place throughout the journey. There is great use of Ne, bouncing from a variety of storylines and ideas which I also think keeps Hunter x Hunter fresh and genre-breaking for shonen anime. The story starts off with four characters, but the story of HxH diverts into separate plots that branch out since the end of the Hunter exam. Gon, along with Killua, seek out to find his Ging, whereas Kurapika goes on to avenge his clan. This is consistent with how Ne diverges it's ideas; from the one to the many, and Togashi executes it in splendid fashion. It's a shame what burnout and depression can do to someone. I really wish Togashi the best and I hope to see the day Hunter x Hunter is finished as a story. In the meantime, I still haven't read or watched Yu Yu Hakusho, so that's still on the list.

Yoshihiro Togashi (born April 27, 1966) is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for writing and illustrating the best-selling series YuYu Hakusho and Hunter × Hunter. Togashi often puts his work on long hiatus due to his health problems, however Hunter × Hunter still retains immense popularity since its release in 1998. He married the famous manga artist Naoko Takeuchi, the writer of Sailor Moon.
