shayne's reddit series really shows us his thought process. he usually points out the ridiculousness of AITA subreddit posts by jokingly pointing out the clear tone-deafness of the posters (fe users are usually disappointed by those with fe blindspots). plus, he usually reads the room and does everything in his power to make sure those around him are happy, while also enjoying himself. what makes me believe he is an INFJ rather than ENFJ is his ti tert. in his reddit series, he often points out discrepancies, flaws, and errors in the ways the reddit posters are thinking— combine this ti tert usage with ni-fe and you find yourself listening to a fair judgement on somebody's character. ENFJ's are more often than not known for over-empathizing. shayne, evidently, does not usually do this. he doesn't mind pointing out the mistakes of others, albeit, in a tempermental fashion. plus, he doesn't mind doing certain things like brutal roasts or impersonations bc he knows they are clearly jokes (healthy ti tert). ENFJs usually feel bad after doing stuff like this— i'd say ENFJs do more physical comedy. take anthony, whose TNTL humor is to do a double decker twerk with his bsf ian. shayne usually loves witty, subversive humor that is self-aware and insightful. for example, he LOVES poking fun at himself for being an average white guy. he also has "the chosen" as an obvious charicature of neckbeard, egoists. he also impersonates courtney with a ridiculously exaggerated version of her to point out her dominant traits as an exfp insightful humor is a hallmark for ni users. he also LOVES redoing bits. most cast members r ok with letting go of bits. shayne milks his golden bits HARD-- very ni dom. fe dom comedian could prolly just keep churning out fresh new jokes just bc they're hyper focused on the audience. i think an ni dom comedian wouldn't mind making a joke just for their own pleasure. i mean-- wtf is "hi. dominos? youre my favorite pizza place!". ENFJ's are crowd pleasers. love em! but INFJs are evidently self indulgent with what they think is funny (ti tert again). edit: plus, he has a psychology degree and regularly talks about introversion. not to lean into stereotypes— but COME ON! INFJ hello! edit 2: on smosh mouth he regularly talks about his overthinking perfectionism. ENFJ's have se tert with ti inferior— they're simply NOT BUILT to be overthinkers by nature. on top of that, shane emphasizes that he does believe himself to be more of an actor than a comedian since that's been his career since childhood, but what's crazy to me is that ENFJ arguments usually point out his useage of se. if we think about how long he's been working in the acting industry, we can gauge that shane has probably just gotten better at interacting with his se over the years through his more superior functions.
