Reigen is a guy, who quit his job out of boredom and decided to live as a psychic, because he saw a spiritual article in a magazin and thought it was a good way to get money. He didn’t start his business to feel better about himself, he doesn’t aspire to become an actual psychic, being fame and gaining public attention is just the condition to gain more money (gluttony > vanity). Reigen lives in the illusion that everything will take care of itself, without putting much effort in it. He believes that he can overcome any situation, that could reveal that he isn’t a true esper. Sp7‘s will do anything to get what they want. Reigen manipuleted Mob by telling him that he doesn’t have anything besides working for Reigen; he needs him for the survival of his business, which is why he panics as soon as Mob wants his freedom. Reigen welcomes everyone, no matter how bizarre their case is, as long as they give him the money. A quote by Haiki that sums it up that pretty well: “Making business is one of their passions.
